The Institute of Accountancy Arusha is a parastatal academic Institution offering undergraduate and postgraduate training courses. It is established by the Institute of Accountancy Act No.1 of 1990 with its headquarters at Njiro Hili, Arusha City. The Institute wishes to recruit a number of suitable, motivated, potential and capable human resources from the market on an unspecified time and pensionable terms.

Position: Receptionist - 1 Post Main campus

Scope of the Position and expected outputs: Holder of the position Is responsible for all assigned duties In the reception or position and its front office administration. The outputs In this position are expected in the quality, efficient and effective handling of Institutes customers and visitors.
• Reports to the Human Resources and Administrative Officer relationships:
• Supervises: NIL


Key duties and responsibilities:
• To receive and manage the front desk visitors;
• To keep visitors register book;
• To receive and channel incoming telephone calls and internal telephone requests;
• To operate and maintain Switchboard;
• To direct office visitors to officers in question;
• To keep telephone call register, maintain external telephone directory and report defective telephone facilities.

Person specification:
The holder of this position must have the following:
Holder of FIV /VI academic certificate with a pass in English and Kiswahili who has undergone the Telephone Operator/ Receptionist course at a recognised Institute and must have three years working experience In similar position.
